Dysfunctional family drama with a sports twist based on a true story. Screenwriter/exec producer Anthony Fingleton fictionalizes his own story of competitive swimming during the 50s and 60s in Brisbane, Australia. His career did not reach true heights due to an overbearing and increasingly violent alcoholic father. Perhaps this poorly executed film had a more cathartic effect on the creator than it does on an audience.
