Rory is the independence-seeking, fun-loving, skirt-chasing new arrival at Carrigmore nursing home. A muscular dystrophy patient, he befriends cerebral palsy sufferer Michael because he seems to be the only one who can understand him. When Rory is denied an independent-living grant because of his recklessness, he persuades Michael to apply, tagging along as his interpreter. They hire Siobhan, a cute supermarket clerk as their helper. Inevitably, they both fall for her. Excellent performances and some genuinely funning and touching scenes help elevate this Irish import above the usual disease-of-the-week fare.
