Bride & Prejudice Movie Review 2004

Bollywood meets Jane Austen in Chandha's brightly-colored confection. Will Darcy (Henderson) and chum Balraj (Andrews) arrive in Amritsar for a friend's wedding. A stuffy but wealthy businessman, Will finds himself drawn to the strikingly beautiful and headstrong Lalita (Rai) who's irritated by his arrogance. That they are meant for each other is obvious but the film must travel from India to London and L.A. and back again before it all plays out, amidst various musical numbers and family trials.
