Ice Cube is Nick Persons, an easygoing, charming ladies' man with a self-professed hatred of kids, when in walks his dream woman in the form of Suzanne (Long), an event planner. Suzanne, unfortunately for Nick, is a divorcee with two children, 11-year-old Lindsey (Allen) and 8-year-old Kevin (Bolden). Nick reconsiders his anti-kid rule, and decides to court Suzanne anyway. However, the two kids, who stubbornly believe that their parents will get back together, have decided to thwart any of their mother's would-be boyfriends. As luck would have it, their mother is needed in Vancouver to plan a New Year's Eve party and needs Nick to bring the kids to her. While Ice Cube is certainly enjoyable to watch, the kids are so obnoxious that the obvious question is, "is this movie done yet?"
