A gulf vet (Brody) is falsely convicted of murder. Having no memory of the crime, he's sentenced to a mental institution instead of prison. The chief psychiatrist's therapy consists of drugs, a straitjacket, and sensory deprivation in a morgue drawer. Vet's reaction to this is, of course, to time-travel, allowing him to confront the ghosts of his present in the future and effect changes for the general good of all. Interesting premise, but handled with a lead foot and little originality. Think "Jacob's Ladder" meets "Twelve Monkeys" meets "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Fairly entertaining with good performances by solid cast.
