Ill-conceived sequel has Tim Avery (Kennedy), a low-level cartoonist who yearns to advance beyond his current position at an animation company, finding the magical mask in time for his company's Halloween party. Of course he puts it on and gets transformed. Before the night is over, Avery gets a promotion and impregnates his wife (how's that for multitasking?). Soon after their son Alvey is born they realize that he's not like other kids. He has mask-like powers and the ability to warp into a freakish tornado of cartoon characters. Flick wilts under the weight of the digital effects, which on a baby seem creepily misplaced.
