Head On Movie Review 2004

Cahit (Unel) is a Turkish immigrant in Hamburg whose drunken, self-destructive behavior lands him in a psych ward. He meets fellow immigrant Sibel (Kekilli), a wrist-slasher who needs to escape her conservative Muslim family either by death or a marriage of convenience. Cahit figures he has nothing to lose and agrees when Sibel says she will keep him in alcohol. But their arrangement eventually spirals into mad love and violent consequences. Turkish and German with subtitles.
