A Tale of Two Sisters Movie Review 2003

Two sisters return home after a mysterious absence to the cold attentions of a near-psychotic stepmother and emotionally impotent father. A horrid tragedy occurred in this house, revealed piece by piece: sometimes slowly and indirectly, sometimes shockingly and brutally. Creepy Korean horror film works its way under the skin, sometimes borrowing the style of recent Japanese shockers. Actually reaches level of Greek tragedy through powerful ending.
