Photojournalist Zana Briski presents the world of Calcutta prostitution through the eyes and pictures of the children who live it. Not only does she give them photography instruction as a means to help lift them from their current situation, she goes a step further in trying to place them in boarding school--much to the chagrin of the opposing parents. The subject is nothing new but her drive to make a change in these doomed lives is commendable and may hopefully inspire others.
