Miller develops a freeform adaptation of Chekhov's 1895 "The Seagull," moving it from 19th-century Russia to 21st-century rural France and shifting the literature/theater emphasis to filmmaking. What transpires is much unrequited love, geriatric loathing, and opinions about making art. In French with subtitles.
