The Inheritance Movie Review 2003

Christoffer (Thomsen) is a successful Stockholm restauranteur with a beautiful actress wife, Maria (Werlinder). He must return to his family's home in Denmark after his father's suicide and is pressured by his domineering mother (Norby) to take over the family's faltering steel business. Maria reluctantly agrees but their marriage founders as Christoffer's sense of duty and family obligation take over to the detriment of his personal happiness. Danish with subtitles.
