Contrived tweenie fluff has eager 16-year-old Terri (Duff, blonde and bubbly as usual) longing to expand her singing talents by attending a performing arts summer school in L.A. Terri is encouraged by everyone but her overprotective dad (Keith) but finds the highly competitive atmosphere an eye-opener. Can sweet Terri realize her dreams and find mild romance with nice guy Jay (James)? Since this flick hits every teen cliche the answer should be obvious but it will still appeal to Duff's fans.
