Director Butler has known former senator and 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry for some 40 years and has been photographing him since 1969. This matter-of-fact documentary looks at Kerry's military service (with some archival footage shot in Vietnam) and his later role in helping establish the group Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Based on the nonfiction book "Tour of Duty" by Douglas Brinkley.
