Troubled couple embarks on a trip to pick up their children from camp. They argue viciously as hubby repeatedly stops to drink along the way. When the missus finally ditches him and takes the train, the volatile and smashed husband continues by car but picks up an ominous stranger. Story of a man who regains his dignity through surprisingly violent twist of fate. Terrific French thriller in the vein of Hitchcock, with solid acting and direction.
