The corpse of a man famous from the Spanish Civil War and in local folk stories (called "aventis") is found by a doctor and nurse and spawns revelations that clash with the tall tales. Based on Juan Marse's 1976 novel, spans several decades in muddled flashbacks with actors taking on multiple roles. Spanish, with English subtitles.
