Deathwatch Movie Review 2002

After an intensely bloody World War I battle, nine soldiers get off-track inside a massive labyrinth of deserted German trenches filled with mounds of the deceased and packed with a mother lode of rats. Further complicating matters is a deadly unearthly force that pits the men against one another while picking them off one at a time. Bassett nicely blends frightful atmosphere with a disturbingly realistic backdrop that somewhat atones for the uninspired dialogue.
