Sci-fi fantasy epic about a brave young humanoid girl (Dunst) who resists her society's groveling submission to its tyrannical "gods." Once cast out, she discovers many hidden secrets about her world. She meets an old astronaut/scientist (Harris) who is the last survivor of the ancient spaceship-wreck that formed her world, and who may possess the power to revive or destroy it as well. Visually stunning movie is France's first entry into full-length CGI animation. Texture is so rich and intricate, it should hold up well to multiple viewings. Characters are a bit thin, and the dubbed dialogue is annoyingly flat and unnatural. It would be interesting to see the French version. One of Richard Harris' last performances.
