Social outcasts in South Korea find love and understanding in spite of family scorn and neglect. Jong-Du (Sol Kyung-gu) is a troubled young man rejected by his family who frequently runs afoul of the police. Having just served a jail sentence for killing a man in a car accident, he starts to intrude on the family of the victim. He soon develops an interest in the family's cerebral palsy-afflicted daughter Gong-Ju (Moon So-ri). When one of his visits results in a clumsy near-rape, she passes out in horror and he leaves his phone number. Amazingly she calls him, and an odd and tender relationship starts between the two. Emotionally truthful and gritty film is sometimes hard to watch, but there's much compassion shown for these misfits. A rare and powerful glimpse into a hidden reality.
