Father and Son Movie Review 2003

Intense look at a father-son relationship. The father (Shetini), a widower, and son (Neimyshev) have lived a largely hermetic life, creating a relationship that more closely resembles partners than of father and son (and not in the business sense either). As each face new choices, however, they are forced to realize that they may have to let go of their dependence on each other. Second chapter of Alexander Sokurov's trilogy on family relationships, the first being "Mother and Son".
