Bittersweet female-centric drama set in a rundown flat in Tblisi, in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Domineering matriarch Eka (90-year-old Gorintin) dotes on her son who works illegally in Paris. Meanwhile, her middle-aged daughter Marina (Khomassouridze) resents her mother's obvious preference, and her own daughter, Ada (Droukarova), tries to keep the peace between the two women. When Marina and Ada learn that Otar has been killed, they conspire to keep the truth from Eka through an elaborate ruse with unexpected consequences. Russian, Georgian and French with subtitles.
