Tiptoes Movie Review 2003

Rolfe (Oldman) and Steven (McConaughey) are brothers. Rolfe is a dwarf, and Steven isn't, which causes some worry for Steven's girlfriend Carol (Beckinsale) when she becomes pregnant and worries that her child will get the dwarf gene. In a twist, she falls for Rolfe, and comedy, drama, and romance ensues. Director Bright had a falling out with the producers and was fired during the shoot, resulting in an uneven film and Bright issuing a scathing monologue against the producers at the film's debut at the Sundance Film Festival. Performances are good but can't save film from falling flat.
