About-to-be-married couple begin seeing other people in this fun, top-notch sex comedy romp. Ed (Mohr) and Alice (Nicholson) decide to sow some wild oats before settling down into marital bliss. Initially exciting for both, the affairs spark their own lagging passion. Soon, however, the two enter more dangerous territory when conquest Donald (Davis) begins obsessing over Alice and Ed meets waitress Sandy (Ritchie) and it is clear no good can come of this hair-brained experiment. Despite a rather worn-out premise, characters have wonderful chemistry and are likeable, unique and well-drawn. Able supports include Graham, as Alice's sister, and Richter as Ed's grounded best friend.
