Sporting different hair color, way too much make-up, and a sheen only multi-millions from straight-to-video hits can bring, the Olsen twins take New York City in this dumb semi-screwball, wanna-be action comedy. Blonde do-gooder Jane (Ashley) and dark-haired rebel Roxy (Mary-Kate) have recently lost their mom and live with their dad (Pinsky) in the Long Island suburbs. The couldn't-be-more-different twins share a ride into The City in search of their respective dreams (Jane's is an Oxford fellowship; Roxy's a career in rock) when things go awry and they end up running amok to marginal comic effect, while being tailed by truant officer Levy. The twins' TV dad Saget shows up in an amusing cameo.
