Close Your Eyes Movie Review 2002

Psychic hypnotist Michael Strother (Visnjic) has limited himself to curing smokers after an unsavory event in the U.S. caused him to flee to the UK. When Janet (Henderson), who also happens to be a British cop, comes to Michael hoping to kick her cigarette habit, Michael has a vision which reluctantly brings about his involvement in the highly publicized "tattoo murderer" case and the serial killer's only living victim, Heather. After hypnotizing the now-mute Heather to find some answers, Michael is knee deep in the case against the wishes of his pregnant wife (Otto). He teams up with Janet, who bucks traditional police methods to go with her gut. Not quite a horror film, this overly elaborate, stale supernatural thriller boasts interesting locales, suitably moody climate, and decent performances.
