In order to hide out from Arab revolutionaries and the police, bigoted businessman Victor Pivert borrows the identity of a beloved Rabbi returning to France after 30 years. Much French slapstick hilarity and some musings on racism and tolerance ensues. One of the most popular comedies of all time in France (even though Jerry Lewis is nowhere to be seen!), it's also one of the most-requested video releases here in the States. Suitable for children, it might serve as a good way to introduce them to foreign films.
