Fellini: I'm a Born Liar Movie Review 2003

Documentary includes an interview with the filmmaker Frederico Fellini, as well as with those who worked with him, most notably Donald Sutherland and Roberto Benigni. Director Pettigrew uses Fellini's interview as the foundation of the film, but focuses on Fellini the enigma rather than his work or his life. Clips from Fellini's films are used frequently but not labeled; nor are the numerous interviews with the people who have been part of the filmmaker's career. You get a sense of his style, but very little information about his life or his films. For dedicated Fellini fans only--everyone else should just start with his movies.
