Cock & Bull Story Movie Review 2003

Gritty examination of the machismo world of boxing and homophobia in a depressed working-class environment. Up-and-coming boxer Travis (Roberts) is the last hope for aging manager/trainer Pascoe (Mullavey). Pascoe (and everyone else) disapproves of the inseparable friendship between Travis and unemployed screw-up Jacko (Green). Rumors begin to circulate about Travis's sexuality and Jacko's own volatility makes matters worse. Of course, on the night of Travis's biggest fight, matters come to a head between the two men. Adapted from the play by Richard Crowe and Richard Zajdlic.
