Jacki (Gershon) is a punk rocker who heads the all-girl band Clam Dandy in the L.A. club scene. She's been trying to make it big for the past twenty years, and, fast approaching 40, wonders if it's time to call it quits. While the movie has heart and an authentic rock and roll attitude, it falls on some conventional tactics. That doesn't undermine the raw performance of Gershon, who co-produced the film, and sang her own songs, but it does have a buzz-killing effect on the rest of the proceedings. Adapted from the autobiographical play by Cheri Lovedog.
