Natalie (Sedgwick) hasn't spoken to her arrogant older brother Roy (Sutherland) for 10 years. A New York photographer, Natalie is tricked by her friend and agent Julia (Channing) into accepting an assignment in Boston that turns out to be for her brother's company. Roy then bullies Natalie into staying for his birthday party--later revealing to her that he's dying of AIDS. He wants to reconcile but a shaken Natalie (who blames Roy for some childhood traumas) insists she must return home. Good cast, but Sutherland's character is so secretive and obnoxious it's hard to dredge up any sympathy for him.
