The Housekeeper Movie Review 2002

When his wife (Breillat) walks out on him after 15 years, middle-aged Jacques (Bacri) can't manage to keep his Paris apartment clean, so he hires young and energetic Laura (Dequenne) as a housekeeper. Soon she is taking on more domestic responsibilities and Jacques grows increasingly used to her presence, even when she shows up in his bed. Laura assumes they have a relationship and Jacques even agrees to take her along on a summer holiday, but soon their differences are making themselves very clear. Based on the novel by Christian Oster. French with subtitles.
