Fairly mild thriller adapted from the Dashiell Hammett story, "The House on Turk Street." Diabetic, cello-playing cop Jack Friar (Jackson) postpones his vacation to look for a neighbor's runaway daughter. While checking around Turk Street, he comes to the aid of elderly Mrs. Quarre (Zabriskie) and winds up the hostage of a gang planning a bank robbery: mastermind Tyrone (Skarsgard), hothead Hoop (Hutchinson), inside man David (Higgins), and Tyrone's sexy and duplicitious girlfriend Erin (Jovovich), who's given the job of guarding Jack. Naturally, Jack's diabetes and his cello-playing will both come into play.
