Scary Movie 3 Movie Review 2003

Zucker-directed spoof pushes the limits of parody in this Wayans-created franchise with rehashed gags and strained satire. Mainly a send up of flicks "The Ring" and "Signs." TV reporter Cindy Campbell (Faris), from the previous "Srarys", ends up on the farm of Tom Logan (Sheen) and his little brother George (Rex) while tracking down a mysterious videotape portending doom to whoever watches. Machine-gun fire gags whiz by, missing most of their targets, as Zucker takes the worst of the movies he spoofs and plays them for all they're worth, which isn't very much. Blond moment between Anderson and McCarthy is a highlight, as is Latifah in a "Matrix" spoof.
