Hard times and no easy answers in this biting drama--often filled with corrosive humor--about unemployment and its consequences. The shipyard where Santa (Bardem) and his friends work has been shut down after being sold to a Korean company. Rico (Climent), the only one to accept a management severance package, opens a waterfront bar where the others hang out: hot-headed activits Santa is deeply in debt and dreams of emigrating, Jose (Tosar) drinks too much and is resentful his working wife is supporting the family, and Lino (Egido) finds himself unqualified and competing against much younger men in a tight job market. Spanish with subtitles.
