Flickering Lights Movie Review 2001

Trokild (Pilmark) is deeply in debt to gangster Eskimo (Andersson). He and pals Peter (Thomsen), Arne (Mikkelsen), and Stefan (Kaas) are surprised to discover the briefcase they've been forced to steal contains a lot of money. They decide to keep the cash and are heading for Spain when their getaway truck breaks down in the woods. The foursome finds refuge in an abandoned inn and Torkild, who's tired of the criminal life, decides to use the money to buy the inn and open it back up so they can all start new lives. Of course, Eskimo may have other ideas when he finds them. An uncertain mixture of dark humor and sentimentality. Danish with subtitles.
