Yerma Movie Review 1999

Yerma (Sanchez-Gijon) desperately wants a child but is unable to conceive. The village wise woman (Papas) puts the blame on Yerma's husband Juan (Diego). As her obsession grows so does Yerma's hatred of her husband and she is tempted to seduce shepherd Victor (Cabrero) to fulfill her longings, which are now driving her to the edge of insanity. Based on a drama by Federico Garcia Lorca. Spanish with subtitles.
