A Stranger in My Native Land Movie Review 1999

A Tibetan filmmaker brought up in exile visits his country for the first time in 1996. As he and his wife travel from the Kumbum monastery to the city of Lhasa having tearful meetings and meals with family members, along the way the fate of Tibet under Chinese rule is sadly exposed.
