Documents a pilot program at a minimum security jail near Seattle. Seven women inmates incarcerated for theft, drug sales, assault, and prostitution participate in ten days of total silence practicing an ancient meditation technique called, Vipassana, for ten hours a day. Though the program is met with adversity initially it proves to be profoundly successful for those involved.
