Loose retelling of the "Arabian Nights" tale (so loose that it incorporates Greek and Roman legends and gods) from DreamWorks studio that's a combo of computer generated and hand-drawn animation. Sinbad the sailor/thief (voiced by Pitt) gets in trouble when Eris (Pfeiffer), the goddess of chaos, steals the Book of Peace and frames Sinbad for the crime. His best friend, Proteus (Fiennes) believes in Sinbad's innocence and stakes his life on Sinbad's return with the book. Proteus's fiancee Marina (Zeta-Jones) stows away to make sure Sinbad keeps his promises and to provide him with a foil. Jumbled story and inconsistent animation lead to ho-hum outing that the kids may enjoy, if they've tired of "Finding Nemo" after the umpteenth viewing.
