Bad Boys 2 Movie Review 2003

Bombastic sequel finds Miami narcs Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) going after a violent network of Ecstasy dealers. The duo also has personal problems when Mike falls for Marcus' sister, Syd (Union), an undercover cop. Meanwhile, Marcus ponders whether he wants to remain partners with Mike, and whether, in classic Det. Murtaugh style, he's getting too old for this...stuff. Typical action-flick paper-thin plot doesn't stop Smith and Lawrence from clicking as a comedy-action team. Since this flick is basically the original, amped up to a ridiculous degree, your enjoyment will hinge on your opinion of that one, and your tolerance for the Bruckheimer-Bay "make-go-boom!" style.
