Melodramatic gay romance set in the world of classical music. 18-year-old piano student Paul Porterfield (Bishop) is hired as a page turner for a concert given by his idol, middle-aged pianist Richard Kennington (Rhys). While traveling in Barcelona with his clinging mother Pamela (Stevenson), Paul re-meets Richard and they have a fling, which means more to Paul than to Richard whose longtime lover is his manager Joseph (Corduner). At school in New York, Paul happens to meet Joseph (lots of coincidences here) and Pamela finally realizes her son is gay. Based on the novel "The Page Turner" by David Leavitt. Spanish director Pons's English-language debut feels abrupt and Paul is an unsympathetic character.
