Sequel has the same premise as the original. Kimberly (Cook) has a horrifying vision of a traffic accident as she heads onto the highway. She blocks the ramp with her SUV, thus saving the lives of the drivers behind her. However, Death doesn't like to be cheated and the drivers start to die in bizarre accidents. Less philosophical than the first one, it ups the ante on the gore factor. Death also has a tendency to lay elaborate, convoluted plans to bring the intended victims to their gruesome deaths (kinda like Bond villains). The accidents can be so improbable that it borders on being tiresome, but if you accept the premise on a certain level you can enjoy it as a guilty pleasure. Larter returns as the sole survivor from the first movie and Tony Todd has a cameo as a morgue attendent.
