Themes of despair and redemption fuel this story of Philippa (Blanchett), a woman who has accidentally killed four innocent people while trying to assassinate drug lord Vendice. As she's questioned by the authorities (who are in cahoots with Vendice), young police translator Filippo (Ribisi) falls in love with her. The two escape thanks to police incompetence and go after Vendice. Directed by Tom Tykwer from a script written by late film legend Krzysztof Kieslowski ("The Decalogue" series and "Three Colors" trilogy)
