Wacky musical murder mystery starring eight of France's top actresses. Grand dame Gaby (Deneuve) and her daughters, Suzon (Ledoyen) and Catherine (Sagnier), share a remote estate with her husband Marcel (Lamure), her mother Mamy (Darrieux), spinster sister Augustine (Huppert), loyal housemaid Mme. Chanel (Richard), and pouty chambermaid Louise (Beart). Louise discovers Marcel stabbed to death--the phone doesn't work, the car won't start, and there's a blizzard. To make matters more interesting, Marcel's estranged sister Pierrette (Ardant) literally comes in from the cold. Now, the eight women are trapped together. Is one of them a killer? Secrets and accusations spill out in song, like a Technicolor '50s musical melodrama. It may not make sense but with this cast, plot will be the last thing on your mind. Based on the play by Robert Thomas; French with subtitles.
