Featherweight remake has Ledger as Harry, a British officer in the late 1800's in love and engaged to marry hottie Ethne (Hudson, sporting an unfortunate English accent). Best friend and fellow officer Jack (Bentley) also fancies English muffin Ethne, unbeknownst to Harry. When Harry resigns from service with battle in the Sudan looming, he's labeled a coward and given four white feathers as a sign of his cowardice. Ditched and dissed, a suitably shamed Harry, determined to prove his courage, disguises himself as an African native (Riiight) and heads to the Sudan. Seem dated and implausible, but action scenes are well done. Based on A.E.W. Mason's 1902 novel.
