Fourteen-year-old Emily (Wood) is spending the summer practicing her violin in hopes of auditioning for a place in the local orchestra. As a sideline, she runs a service in her backyard for the neighbor kids, where they can reveal their secrets, which Emily writes down and locks away for safekeeping. The film reassures that it's better to tell the truth than keep secrets and that even big problems are able to be solved if you talk about them. It may not be the real world but it's a nice one to visit.
