Guei (Lin) leaves his provincial home and gets a job as a bike messenger in Beijing where most of his meager wages go to purchase his mountain bike. His bike is stolen and Guei loses his job. He finally discovers that petulant high schooler Jian (Bin), whose father wouldn't buy him a bike of his own, has purchased Geui's from a flea market and, because he can now join his friends riding after school, he refuses to let it go. Their confrontation turns violent as more and more people become involved. Chinese with subtitles.
