Shrink Dr. Jennifer Stillman (Kinski) leaves New York for a small town as the school district's new therapist. Her first patient, Ben (Edner), is a young outsider whose adoptive father is the town doctor (Quaid). Jennifer realizes Ben is hiding something about his mother's mysterious death, which involves a coverup by the town. When several locals are brutally murdered, Jennifer becomes a suspect but Ben blames his biological father--a space alien. This cable remake has nothing to do with the 1955 original and even the title seems off.
