Dead Heat Movie Review 2001

Pally Lamarr (Sutherland) is a suicidal ex-cop with a drinking problem. His shady stepbrother Ray (LaPaglia) persuades Pally to purchase a long-shot racehorse with a jockey (Bluteau) who's an ex-con gambling addict. Things get even worse when a mobster (Benzali), who also wanted the horse, gets involved. Plot has too many holes but the two leads are worth watching.
