Dinotopia Movie Review 2002

TV miniseries based on two books by author/illustrator James Gurney about a fantasy island paradise where humans and talking dinos co-exist peacefully. Teenaged half-brothers Karl (Leitso) and David (Miller) survive a plane crash and wind up on Dinotopia where they are befriended by young princess Marion (Carr). But the island has problems--rogue carnivorous dinosaurs and sinister human Cyrus Crabb (Thewlis) as well as some magical sunstones that are losing their power. Fanciful storytelling with some fun special effects.
