Based on the true story of Sirr Parker (Scott), a talented but poverty-stricken high school football player in South Central L.A. After Sirr and his younger brother are abandoned by their mother, Sirr struggles to look after his family (including an ailing grandmother) while keeping his place on the team. But the teen is finally forced to turn to his coach (Duncan) for help.
